Tauzer Apiaries, a second-generation family-owned business serving Northern California’s agriculture, is looking for a Bilingual Executive Assistant to enhance communication and organizational efficiency between leadership and Spanish-speaking field teams. Position Overview

At Tauzer Apiaries, our mission is to modernize systems and strengthen crew coordination. The Executive Assistant will act as the vital link ensuring clear, consistent communication across all levels of our operation, especially between management and field staff who speak Spanish. Your role will help foster accountability, safety, and team cohesion throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communication & Translation 💬

  • Serve as the primary bilingual liaison between the President and field employees.
  • Translate and relay daily work plans, schedules, and company communications (English ⇄ Spanish).
  • Participate in field check-ins and meetings to ensure understanding of goals, expectations, and safety protocols.
  • Translate written materials such as text messages, forms, policies, and notices.

2. Operational Coordination ⚙️

  • Assist with daily and weekly work planning, including yard moves, crew assignments, and deliveries.
  • Track progress and communicate field updates, issues, or requests to management.
  • Support the standardization of communication tools like WhatsApp groups and digital checklists.
  • Maintain essential records such as time logs, vehicle and equipment logs, and inventory lists.

3. Executive Support 🗂️

  • Handle administrative duties including scheduling, document preparation, filing, and follow-up communication.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees with bilingual orientation materials, HR forms, and policy explanations.
  • Support reporting and compliance tasks, including worker hours, safety records, and regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate with vendors or agencies as directed by management.

4. Cultural & Team Engagement 🤝🌱

  • Help promote a positive, respectful, and open workplace culture.
  • Participate in weekly tailgates and company events to boost team unity.
  • Ensure seamless information flow between leadership and field teams — fostering two-way communication.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full fluency in Spanish and English—reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Proficiency with smartphones, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and messaging apps like WhatsApp.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit field locations as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience in agriculture, construction, or other field-based operations (not specific to beekeeping).
  • Experience as an administrative assistant, coordinator, or translator in a bilingual setting.
  • Comfort working outdoors and adapting to varying conditions and crew dynamics.
