Position Overview

Title: Editorial Support Specialist (Spanish)

Location: Hybrid at New Rochelle, NY

This position is based in our New Rochelle, NY office, offering a dynamic opportunity to contribute to educational resources for K-8 learners.

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing editorial support to the Spanish Editorial department in various capacities to ensure high-quality educational materials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of the editorial department 📝
• Apply to outside publishers for reprint rights and route print and e-book corrections 📕
• Revisit and edit manuscripts in Spanish under the guidance of an editor ✍️
• Prepare manuscript files for production 🖥️
• Enter and update information in the product database 📊
• Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy 🔍
• Assist in the development of new print products such as student books, teacher’s materials, and assessments 📚
• Support the creation of digital products including eBooks, audio, animation, and online assessments 💻
• Prepare content for digital conversion 🖲️
• Review and evaluate digital products, reporting any issues found ⚠️
• Track project progress to ensure deadlines are met 📅

Job Requirements, Skills, and Experience

• Native or proficient Spanish speaker 🎤
• B.A. in Spanish, Literature, bilingual education, or a related field 🎓
• Strong writing and editing skills in both English and Spanish ✍️
• Excellent organizational skills 🗂️
• Genuine interest in educational content for K-8 students 🎒
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 🔄
• Team player with effective communication skills in both languages 💬
• Keen interest in instructional technology and digital media 📱
• Quick learner with software proficiency 🖥️

Salary Range 💰

$45,000 - $50,000
