Position Overview 🚀

The Direct Support Staff role is an entry-level opportunity to initiate a meaningful career in human services. You will provide ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling directly to residents in a residential environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as cooking, personal hygiene, and dressing 🧑‍🍳🛁👚
• Administering and managing medication following Individual Support Plans (ISPs) 💊
• Transporting residents to appointments as needed 🚌
• Completing shift notes to document occurrences and progress 📝

As a Direct Support Staff member, you'll ensure our program provides a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment. You'll collaborate closely with parents and guardians to support each individual effectively. Your community engagement tasks include:

• Supporting community integration through group activities, trips, and volunteering 🤝🎟️🌎
• Assisting with home maintenance and cleaning tasks 🧹
• Encouraging active participation in community events 🎉

• High school diploma or GED (experience working with the population is a plus!) 🎓
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese 🗣️

• Basic proficiency in computer applications 💻
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered, team-oriented environment 🚀🤝
• Valid driver’s license, access to an insured, operational vehicle, and willingness to transport clients 🚗
