About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding verbal communicator, active listener, and natural problem solver to join our team until September 2025. If you love engaging with people and are fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) & English, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is a 3-month contract position from July to September 2026, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to Embark customers and prospects.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend the best solutions or guidance in their best interests.
  • Become a subject matter expert in RESP and assist customers via phone, email, and online chat with inquiries related to contributions, payments, and general account questions.
  • Promote digital and self-serve options, guiding customers to leverage these tools, and facilitate referrals to licensed specialists or sales teams to enhance their experience.
  • Take ownership of challenges, identifying gaps and opportunities to keep customers on track.
  • Seek ways to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Organize customer information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Act as both a team player and leader, supporting colleagues, covering absences, and leading key projects as needed.
  • Support customers during designated hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern Time). Work schedule may vary week to week.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • At least one year of experience providing excellent customer service or working in a support department.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and express clearly.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the Customer Success Centre.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) & English.
