Bilingual Customer Success Representative (Mandarin or Cantonese/English)

We are looking for an outstanding verbal communicator, active listener, and natural problem solver to join us until September 2025. If you enjoy engaging with people, are enthusiastic about helping families succeed, and are fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) & English, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a 3-month contract position from July to September 2026, with the opportunity for extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional customer experience to Embark customers and prospects. 😊
  • Identifies customer needs and provides the best solutions or guidance in their best interests.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for RESP, assisting with related services via phone, email, and online chat — including contributions, payments, and account inquiries.
  • Offers guidance on leveraging digital and self-serve options, and facilitates connections with licensed specialists in other departments (e.g., referring new customers to Sales teams).
  • Takes ownership of challenges as they arise, identifying gaps and opportunities to keep customers on track.
  • Acts proactively to enhance or improve the overall customer experience.
  • Organizes customer information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Acts as both a team player and leader: supports teammates, fills in during absences, and leads important projects as needed.
  • Supports customers contacting us through our center, Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern Time).
    Work schedules may vary week-to-week in terms of days, hours, and shifts.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • At least one year of experience providing excellent customer service or working in a support department.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly express yourself and attentively address customer needs.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with strong record-keeping skills to manage customer data effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, thriving in fast-paced environments with multitasking demands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Flexible to meet the needs of the Customer Success Centre.
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) & English is a must.
