Job Overview
We are looking for an outstanding verbal communicator, active listener, and natural problem solver who enjoys engaging with families and helping them meet their educational goals. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English is essential for this role.
This position is a 3-month contract from July to September 2026, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience to Embark clients and prospects.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions or guidance in their best interests.
- Become a subject matter expert for RESP and assist with related services via phone, email, and online chat, including contributions, payments, and account inquiries.
- Encourage customers to use digital and self-serve options and refer them to licensed specialists or sales teams for additional support.
- Take ownership of challenges, identify gaps, and seek opportunities to keep customers on track.
- Look for ways to enhance or improve the overall customer experience.
- Organize customer information ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Act as both a team player and leader: support teammates, fill in during absences, and lead important projects as needed.
- Support customers during center hours: Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern Time).
- Adapt to flexible work schedules involving varying days, hours, and shifts.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- At least one year of experience in customer service or support roles.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly express yourself and attentively listen to customer needs.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with solid record-keeping skills using customer tracking systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Flexibility to adjust to the needs of the Customer Success Centre.
- Bilingual fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English is required.
