What You’ll Be Doing
If you love working with people and enjoy outdoor interaction, this role is perfect for you! Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Engaging face-to-face with Clipper customers, providing support and guidance with their transit needs.
- Issuing Clipper cards and adding transit value using a specialized Point-of-Sale system.
- Answering questions about using physical and mobile Clipper cards to pay for transportation across the Bay Area.
- Handling cash, commuter checks, and credit/debit card transactions accurately.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
- Provide exceptional support to customers at the ticket booth in Embacardo BART Station.
- Ensure smooth transactions and customer satisfaction with a smile 😊.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions during your shift.
What You Bring to the Role
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- Reside in San Francisco, CA, and willing to work onsite at the station.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, including Excel.
- Experience in cash handling and de-escalating customer situations.
What You Can Expect
- Part-time schedule (20-25 hours/week), with shifts of 5 hours.
- Availability Monday through Saturday, with Saturdays required (9am-2pm).
