Join our team as a Customer Service Representative supporting a 24/7 travel and immigration information call center. This role offers the opportunity to assist travelers worldwide with visa, travel, and DHS-related inquiries, ensuring smooth communication and efficient service. π
Mandatory Requirements
- MUST be a U.S. Citizen πΊπΈ
- MUST know Mandarin language π΅
- MUST pass background check β
Applicants selected will undergo a background investigation and must meet security eligibility requirements. - 4-year Bachelor degree π from an accredited college or university
- At least 1-2 years of customer service experience πΌ (preferred)
- Ability to maneuver and use web-based applications π»
- Excellent verbal and vocal skills ποΈ

Job Role
Provide support to a 24/7 operational information call center that operates all year round to facilitate travel and effectively process enrollment inquiries. This center employs language-appropriate translators to serve travelers via telephone calls and emails. The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is to deliver timely and accurate responses to inquiries from travelers globally regarding DHS CBP applications, visa renewal services, and other travel and immigration topics.
Additional program support and training will be provided in person to ensure success in your role. π‘
Key Daily Activities
- Identify and respond to live contacts using CBP-provided responses and materials π
- Respond to multiple questions, concerns, or inquiries in emails using CBP-approved templates βοΈ
- Identify and escalate unique inquiries that lack pre-approved template language π¨
- Recognize and escalate any communications that might be suspicious or threatening to public safety and transportation security β οΈ
- Answer customer questions, provide referrals, and clarify CBP policies and procedures π
- Provide general travel assistance information βοΈ
- Assist with filing claims with DHS π
