Role Overview
Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They promptly resolve customer concerns, ensure high client satisfaction, stay updated on product features, and uphold the store's visual standards. Achieving excellent customer service while meeting sales targets is at the heart of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in person and over the phone to determine needs and recommend products
- Build trustworthy relationships with wholesale and retail customers 🤝
- Accurately process sales transactions following store policies
- Achieve and maintain sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis 🎯
- Maintain precise work order files and apply formulas correctly
- Select and prepare products from the sales floor or warehouse
- Tint and mix products per customer specifications
- Stock shelves, set up displays, and clean store equipment
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and making deliveries when needed
- Ensure attractive and in-stock display areas ✨
- Stay knowledgeable about our product range and discuss options with customers
- Follow inventory control procedures
- Identify and suggest ways to increase sales

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship
- Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- If internal applicant, must have a performance rating of at least "Meets Expectations" in your recent appraisal and completed required HR courses
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in retail, delivery, or customer service roles
- Previous experience selling paint and related products
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
