Maximus is hiring Bilingual and Trilingual Customer Service Representatives to serve vulnerable communities in New York City, offering comprehensive training and flexible remote work options. 🌟

Position Overview

Every day, Bilingual Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) at Maximus provide compassionate, transparent customer care to millions of New Yorkers navigating complex healthcare plans. This fully remote role within New York City (candidates must reside within 100 miles of NYC) includes a 6-week paid training program to prepare you for delivering professional and knowledgeable support to callers. 📞✨

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, and their representatives, adhering to all performance standards and confidentiality policies. 📱
  • Respond effectively to inbound and outbound inquiries, tracking and documenting interactions using designated systems.
  • Process new healthcare applications, including creating tax households, assessing household income and eligibility, and enrolling callers in health plans.
  • Manage life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods as needed. 🔄
  • Fulfill caller requests for materials via mail, email, or downloads, and provide translation services for non-English speakers. 🌐
  • Escalate complex issues to specialized staff and participate in meetings and training to keep program knowledge current.
  • Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds and remain stationary for extended periods, always following safety standards. 🏋️‍♂️
  • Consistently meet Quality Assurance (QA) and other key performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6+ months of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in either Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian; or proficiency in both Spanish and Haitian Creole.
  • Strong data entry, telephone skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities. 📝📞
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with computers, phone systems, and headsets.
  • Previous customer service experience.
