Role Overview

As a vital member of the Avenir Corporate Operations team, the Avenir Travel Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive, accurate, and cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients, adhering to company policies, utilizing corporate contracts, and preferred suppliers efficiently and professionally.

Expedition Expectations 🚀

• Complete domestic and international travel bookings including air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail.
• Develop a training plan to master the Avenir platform (powered by Spotnana) and contribute feedback for continuous improvement.
• Deliver high-touch concierge services to designated clients, including leisure services, upgrades, and reconfirmations prior to travel.
• Stay informed on international events using resources like State Department websites and news agencies.
• Handle multi-cultural Avenir clientele effectively.
• Advise clients on international travel requirements such as visas, passports, and immunizations.
• Understand international pricing rules and procedures thoroughly.
• Support one or more client accounts while operating within detailed procedures.
• Interact with travelers, travel arrangers, and managers, providing first-level support for customer service and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and maximize profit using DT preferred vendors.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards, including phone and email etiquette and following escalation procedures.
• Follow company guidelines regarding procedures, tools utilization, productivity, accuracy, and attendance.
• Participate in staff and training meetings for industry updates, which may include working in the office if remote.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues to promote a cooperative environment.

Passport to Success ✈️🌎

• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Minimum of five years corporate consulting experience.
• Ability to create multi-segment, multi-destination domestic and international itineraries.
• Demonstrated industry knowledge and proficiency in at least one GDS.
• Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft platforms.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US without restrictions.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Support multiple accounts while adhering to detailed procedures.
• Interact with clients effectively, offering first-level support for service and technical issues.
• Ensure policy compliance and utilize preferred vendors for maximum profitability.
• Maintain professional standards in customer interactions and team collaboration.
• Participate in ongoing training and industry updates.
