MHS is now hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, playing a vital role in nurturing and guiding students in a family-like environment.

About the Role: Full-time Flex Houseparents 🏡

As Flex Houseparents, couples will reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, mentorship, and supervision for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Your responsibilities will help foster a structured, supportive environment that promotes students’ academic, emotional, and social growth, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship ✨
• Managing household routines and student schedules 🗓️
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness 💊
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmentally enriching activities 🚗
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel ✝️
• Overseeing household budgeting and reporting 📊

Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Transitioning into the Placed Houseparent role allows you to live and work with the same group of students in your own dedicated home.

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total of $168,000 per couple, including housing and meal benefits)

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Legally married couples for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older
• Residence with no more than three dependent children during employment
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with no alcohol while on duty 🚫
• Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed dog 🐟🐶
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans 🚗
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited) ✝️
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 💪
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role-modeling qualities
