About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to help clients remain comfortable and independent in their own homes. Your compassionate care will include assisting with daily activities and household functions tailored to each individual's needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Activities of Daily Living:
- Bathing in bed, tub, or shower 🚿
- Hair care including shampoo, combing, and brushing 💇♂️
- Teeth and mouth care including denture maintenance 🦷
- Nail care (filing only) 💅
- Skin care, including pericare and lotion application 🧴
- Transferring clients from bed to chair or wheelchair ♿
- Assisting with on and off bedpan, commode, and toilet 🚽
- Helping clients prepare for bed 🛏️
- Positioning patients as instructed 🛋️
- Assisting with ambulation using cane, walker, or crutches 🚶♀️
- Personal dressing and grooming 👗
- Providing medication reminders 💊
- Live-in and Sleep Overs:
- Securing clients' homes and providing nighttime reassurance (excluding Washington and Oregon) 🌙
- Electronic Visit Verification (E.V.V.): Utilization as applicable 📱
- Household Tasks: Assisting with essential household chores related to personal care 🧹
- Appointments & Errands: Accompanying clients to medical appointments, shopping, or essential errands 🏥🛍️
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Measuring and recording temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure within training limits 🩺
- Meal Preparation & Feeding: Preparing and, if necessary, feeding clients based on dietary preferences 🍽️
- Home Safety: Maintaining a clean, safe environment using equipment such as side rails, oxygen, wheelchairs, and lifts 🏠

Qualifications
- Required: Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, reliable vehicle, or access to public transportation 🚗🚌
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire 🚑
- At least 6 months of home care experience 🏡
- Flexibility to work varying hours to meet clients’ needs ⏰
