Position: Adult and Dislocated Worker Bilingual Career Advisor
We are seeking a passionate Bilingual Career Advisor to provide professional career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services. This role plays an integral part in advancing our mission to improve lives through personalized support and guidance.
Work Environment: 100% onsite at our designated location, under the supervision of the Project Director.
Your Impact Will Include 🎯
- Providing community-based information and case management services
- Conducting intake and determining eligibility for workforce programs
- Assessing employment and training needs through interviews and testing
- Acting as a liaison between workforce programs and community partners
- Entering data into participant information systems and databases
- Guiding job seekers in developing individual employment plans (IEP)
- Counseling clients on job opportunities, training, and services
- Referring individuals to appropriate services and following up
- Conducting orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations
- Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with policies
- Developing comprehensive employment plans and tracking progress
- Meeting program benchmarks and participating in staff events
- Completing required reports to monitor success
Ideal Qualifications 💼
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in operations or related fields
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn specialized databases
- Culturally sensitive with experience working with diverse populations
- Motivational role model capable of inspiring clients
- Goal-oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
- Knowledge of the WIOA program and workforce initiatives
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments with confidentiality maintained
- Valid driver’s license required
Compensation & Benefits 💰
Salary Range: $53,000 - $56,000
Travel: Up to 25% local travel may be required
