Pay Range & Terms 💼

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Annually

Terms: Permanent Full Time (On-Site)

About the Role ⚙️

The Senior Buyer will lead procurement activities, negotiating the best terms for materials, supplies, and services. Key responsibilities include qualifying vendors, evaluating bids, tracking purchases, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role directly contributes to team goals and overall business success.

Responsibilities 📋

  • Apply manufacturing and automation expertise to understand operational requirements.
  • Utilize MS Office suite effectively and adapt quickly to new software tools.
  • Develop and implement bidding, negotiation, and pricing strategies for capital and equipment purchases.
  • Manage purchase orders, including reschedules, cancellations, and expediting to ensure timely delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for suppliers within your scope, managing daily relationships related to service, delivery, quality, and billing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify key and preferred suppliers supporting organizational goals.
  • Proactively resolve issues delaying material deliveries.
  • Implement sourcing strategies to leverage purchasing power and meet customer needs.
  • Correspond with global suppliers regarding bids, quotations, and purchasing matters.
  • Create plans to achieve cost savings targets.
  • Track productivity metrics such as purchase price variance, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and supply continuity.
  • Perform RFQs and tenders for goods and services, ensuring compliance with specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Oversee vendor activities to meet order timing milestones.
  • Develop and improve purchasing methods and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.

Requirements ✅

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills across departments and with suppliers.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and decision-making based on internal and external data.
  • Experience managing procurement, storage, transportation, and distribution of materials.
  • Ensuring timely procurement of quality products/services at competitive prices.
  • Familiarity with contract management and negotiation of annual contracts.
  • Proven capability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines with accuracy.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, with strong knowledge of Mexican culture and business practices.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP systems, preferably SAP B1.
  • N.A.P.M. and/or A.P.I.C.S. certification is a plus.
  • Residing in Colorado is preferred due to onsite requirements and rapid response needs.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly onsite at Muller Technology CO, Inc.
