About This Position

We are looking for a Bilingual Business Writer and Content Editor Consultant to help articulate IDB Invest’s initiatives across the region through compelling storytelling. This role involves developing editorial content for our corporate blog, podcast, Impact Talks series, and Annual Report, supporting our communications team in elevating our impactful stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit, and publish blogs and opinion pieces in both Spanish and English on IDB Invest’s blog.
• Strategic Promotion: Develop content strategies and calendars to broaden outreach and engagement among private sector audiences.
• Multimedia Development: Collaborate with vendors to produce social media graphics, infographics, and short videos, amplifying blog content across channels.
• Podcast & Impact Talks: Coordinate content planning, writing, and promotion for IDB Invest’s podcast series and Impact Talks events.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze metrics for digital content and compile reports on performance and reach.
• Annual Report: Oversee the writing, editing, and coordination of IDB Invest’s Annual Report in collaboration with the communications team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in communications, journalism, or related fields; Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience also considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years (Master’s degree) or 9 years (Bachelor’s degree) in relevant professional roles.
• Languages: Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent writing skills in both languages.

Additional Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of one of our 48 member countries. Assistance with relocation and visas may be provided.
• Family: No immediate family members working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
• Contract Type: International Full-Time Consultant for 12 months (up to 36 months possible).
