About the Role

We are currently seeking dedicated Immigration Attorneys to prepare and file complex employment-based immigration cases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, working with clients from diverse backgrounds and handling various visa types. Passionate about their work and client success, team members will play a vital role in navigating intricate legal pathways.

Note: This role is remote, but candidates must reside in Massachusetts to be eligible. 🏡

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare cases, legal strategies, and cover letters diligently.
  • Develop an expert understanding of client cases, particularly in EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs, including preparing immigrant/non-immigrant petitions.
  • Manage projects and deadlines, revising documents as necessary.
  • Explain legal terminology clearly to clients in a timely manner.
  • Research legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
  • Stay current on legislation impacting immigration.
  • Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
  • Train clients and colleagues on legal topics and immigration law updates.
  • Collaborate effectively by sharing information, resolving client issues, and supporting projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case strategies.
  • Assess eligibility of corporate foreign employees for visa statuses.
  • Coordinate with mobility teams and counsel for petition preparation and submissions to DOL and USCIS.
  • Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited US law school.
  • Bilingual in Portuguese.
  • 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs is a plus.
  • High-level organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn across different practice areas.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision.
