Bilingual (Spanish) Business Development Director - International Market Development (Remote - Eligible) 🌎💼

Capitalize on your expertise with Capital One! We are seeking a Business Development Director fluent in Spanish to lead our International Market Development efforts, focusing on expanding our presence across North and Latin America.

Role Overview

The Director will oversee client relationships with senior-level partners, drive growth in our Commercial Payments footprint, negotiate agreements, and support marketing and product initiatives to enhance the cardholder experience across diverse markets. This is a remote role with the opportunity to make a global impact.

Core Responsibilities

• Representation: Attend industry events and trade shows to promote our brand, build C-suite relationships, and generate new business leads in the region. 🎤🤝
• Strategic Oversight: Manage and support the strategic and tactical activities within regional markets, fostering talent to enable business growth and succession planning. 🚀🌱
• Partner Management: Monitor existing partner performance, taking corrective actions when necessary to align with Global Payment Network interests.
• Negotiations: Negotiate contracts that are favorable and profitable for both existing and new partners. 💼✍️
• Product Launch & Support: Assist with launching new products and programs tailored for regional partners, ensuring smooth implementation. 🎯📦
• Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure activities adhere to AML and regulatory standards. Collaborate with compliance teams to monitor adherence. 🔒📊
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Assess market trends and competitor activity, providing strategic feedback to leadership. 📈🕵️‍♂️
• Client Engagement: Demonstrates a willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to foster strong client relationships. ✈️🤝

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience 🎓⚔️
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management within the payments industry 💳🌐
• At least 5 years of commercial credit card experience 💳
• Fluent in Spanish and English 🗣️🇪🇸🇺🇸

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management within payments 🏦
• 6+ years of commercial credit card expertise 💳
• People management experience 👥
• Experience working with key stakeholders in North and Latin America 🌎

Compensation:

• Remote & Riverwoods, IL: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director of Business Development

This role offers the potential for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives (LTI), which may be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
