What Is the Opportunity? 🚀
This role involves managing Personal and Business Auto Damage claims from initial notice to resolution, including complex cases like multi-vehicle claims, non-owned vehicles, fire, theft, potential fraud, and property-related damages. The Auto Claims Adjuster ensures quality handling of claims throughout their lifecycle, maintaining compliance with standards and regulations.
What Will You Do? 📝
- Customer Contacts and Experience: Provide consistent, prompt, and professional communication to deliver excellent service, setting clear expectations, and following through on commitments.
- Coverage Analysis: Review policies, applying conditions, exclusions, and endorsements, especially for claims in Massachusetts. Confirm coverage limits, deductibles, and jurisdiction-specific issues.
- Investigation and Evaluation: Gather necessary facts through contact with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, law enforcement, and others. Take recorded statements and determine coverage, causation, liability, damages, and exposure.
- Inspection Coordination: Request and coordinate inspections based on loss details, oversee repairs, and manage expense allocations.
- Reserving: Establish and monitor claim and expense reserves, ensuring timely updates and management.
- File Management & Settlement: Maintain organized files, negotiate claims within authority limits, and communicate settlements or denials appropriately.
- Support Functions: Assist with other Auto Line of Business processes such as First Notice of Loss, Subrogation, Total Loss, and Salvage.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Must Haves ✅
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish
- Active adjuster's license in at least one state
- Minimum of three years of auto claims handling experience
