Position Overview 📋

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper (AEH) is a key management role responsible for overseeing site housekeeping operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. The AEH assists the Executive Housekeeper (EH) and manages team members to uphold client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Essential Functions 📝

  • Create and post schedules by Thursday 5:00 PM, assigning daily tasks to staff.
  • Adjust workloads based on needs and callouts.
  • Monitor daily hours to stay within budget.
  • Follow directives in the absence of the site leader.
  • Ensure all units are turned on time with a sense of urgency.
  • Inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness standards.
  • Address areas needing re-cleaning.
  • Conduct weekly report cards and supervisor reports.
  • Foster a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.
  • Respond to associate concerns promptly, either directly or via referral.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
  • Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
  • Assist in performance management, including coaching and counseling.
  • Recommend discipline and termination when necessary.
  • Conduct performance reviews regularly.
  • Facilitate MasterTalk and STS sessions per SOPs with enthusiasm.
  • Hold weekly staff meetings and monthly training sessions.
  • Finalize daily reports through the Mastermind system.
  • Interview, select, and onboard new team members, including conducting orientations and delivering 7-Steps to Clean training.
  • Build positive relationships with resort management and attend meetings.
  • Manage inventory, conduct weekly counts, and order supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues and manage vehicle logs.
  • Assist with guest complaints and safety meetings.
  • Handle workers' compensation issues and reporting.
  • Work irregular hours as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Resort Operations 15 Non-negotiables.
  • Use MasterMind Mobile to update room statuses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements 📝

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least two years of progressive experience in hospitality or related fields.
  • Proven performance in driving key operational metrics.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Minimal travel — approximately 5% quarterly.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required for some locations.

Physical Requirements 💪

This role involves standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, reaching, occasional climbing, and repetitive motions. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to support employees with disabilities.
