Job Description Summary 📋
As a Bilingual HR Assistant, you will provide vital HR support across recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, recordkeeping, compliance, payroll, and more. You'll engage with staff at all levels in a confidential and diplomatic manner, while nurturing our core values of teamwork, play, curiosity, respect, accountability, and boldness.
Responsibilities and Duties 🎯
- Coordinate recruitment activities: advertising, screening, interview scheduling, offer letters
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of HR paperwork
- Verify work authorization through the federal E-Verify system for all new hires
- Process employee and personnel action forms for hires, promotions, transfers, and pay changes
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and changes
- Maintain employee data and documents in physical and digital formats, including HRIS systems
- Prepare documentation for employee separations and conduct exit interviews
- Support protected leave administration: documentation and tracking
- Assist with timekeeping system and payroll processing
- Order and monitor office supplies to meet location needs
- Distribute and display employment law posters as required
- Support the Safety Committee with documentation and training
- Coordinate employee engagement events and programs
- Perform additional duties as needed

Skills & Qualities 🤝
- ➡️ Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- ➡️ Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices at federal and state levels
- ➡️ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- ➡️ Comfortable delivering onboarding and training sessions
- ➡️ Strong attention to detail and quick data entry abilities
- ➡️ Ability to interpret and communicate policies and procedures
- ➡️ Skilled in managing multiple projects effectively
- ➡️ Proficient in writing HR documents and reports
- ➡️ Analytical mindset with independent judgment capabilities
- ➡️ Able to work independently and collaboratively
- ➡️ Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information
- ➡️ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- ➡️ Experience with payroll and HR software systems
Experience & Education ✨
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an HR role
- Support experience in recruiting preferred
- At least 2 years of college, ideally in HR, Business, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
- Combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
Physical Requirements 🖥️
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods
- Viewing monitors for long durations
- Talking, listening, and typing for extended periods
