Job Description 📋

The Banking Associate is a professional role focused on delivering TD’s brand promise at a retail store location. You will accurately process banking transactions and provide guidance and education on products and services to help customers meet their financial goals.

Depth & Scope 🔍

  • Perform diverse tasks including transaction processing, account openings, and customer education on banking products.
  • Build trust with customers through educational content, consultative support, and proactive insights.
  • Utilize TD's systems to manage customer relationships and deepen engagement.
  • Identify financial needs and guide customers toward appropriate products/services or refer to specialists.
  • Handle daily banking transactions on teller lines or digital platforms, addressing customer needs promptly.
  • Engage customers in financial advice, lead management, and outreach activities to strengthen relationships.

Education & Experience 🎓

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with customers (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)
  • Customer Service skills are a plus
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Teller experience and completion of teller and platform training preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and prioritization abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities 🌟

  • Provide legendary customer service, promoting and educating on TD products
  • Build and nurture customer relationships through active listening and needs assessment
  • Manage customer wait times and coordinate appointments with banking specialists
  • Represent the first point of contact, supporting customer inquiries and resolution
  • Drive referrals and support broader financial needs while ensuring compliance with policies

Shareholder & Regulatory Responsibilities 📝

  • Maintain compliance with regulations like Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Internal Policies
  • Process transactions accurately, including account openings, closings, and servicing
  • Ensure proper authentication and security procedures for all transactions
  • Perform cash handling duties responsibly and securely

  • Participate in training, mentoring, and continuous development activities
  • Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and processing transactions, with occasional lifting and movement
