Job Description 📋

The Banking Associate plays a vital role in delivering TD’s brand promise at our store location. They are responsible for accurately completing daily banking transactions and providing advice, education, and support on our banking services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Depth & Scope 🔍

• Process customer transactions, open new accounts, and educate customers on banking products and services
• Build trust through educational content, consultative support, and proactive insights
• Engage customers using TD’s systems to deepen relationships and offer guidance
• Identify customer needs and offer appropriate products, services, or referrals
• Handle banking transactions on the teller line or platform, including account openings and issue resolution
• Service customers across various banking channels, including digital banking and card services
• Manage leads through outbound calls, appointments, and campaign activities to grow customer relationships

Education & Experience 🎓

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of customer interaction experience (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)
• Customer service skills preferred
• SCHEDULE flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Teller experience preferred; completion of teller and platform training required upon hire
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities 🤝

• Deliver legendary customer service and promote TD products
• Build and nurture customer relationships through active listening and needs assessment
• Manage wait times and facilitate customer appointments or resolutions
• Represent the first point of contact, managing walk-in traffic and inquiries
• Support TD’s customer service strategies and drive referrals
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Shareholder and Operational Duties 🏦

• Process transactions accurately, including account openings/closings and cash handling
• Follow policies related to customer authentication, cash security, and regulatory compliance
• Fatigue and multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
