Job Description 📝

The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise within our store locations. You will be responsible for processing banking transactions accurately and providing advice, education, and support on our services and products to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Scope & Responsibilities 🔍

• Handle a variety of tasks such as processing transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services.
• Build trust by delivering educational content, consultative support, and proactive insights.
• Use TD's systems and tools to deepen customer relationships through advice and guidance.
• Identify customer needs to promote products or refer to relevant specialists, ensuring a positive experience.
• Complete daily banking transactions while educating customers on available services.
• Service customers at the teller line and on the platform, including account management and resolving issues.
• Engage with customers, offering financial advice, managing leads, and setting appointments to foster relationships.

Education & Experience 🎓

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of experience working with customers (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)
• Customer Service skills preferred
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Teller experience and training required upon hire
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities 🌟

• Provide legendary customer service and promote TD products
• Build and nurture customer relationships with knowledge and active listening
• Manage wait times and coordinate customer flow efficiently
• No.1 point of contact for customer inquiries and resolutions
• Support TD’s customer service strategy and ensure compliance with policies
• Complete all required training and adhere to risk and control programs

Shareholder & Compliance Responsibilities 📋

• Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly with the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
• Process transactions accurately and securely, maintaining cash limits and proper documentation
• Act as a Dual Control agent when necessary and follow all opening/closing procedures
