We are looking for a dedicated Banking Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, provide financial advice, and support TD’s mission to make banking straightforward and meaningful for our customers.

- Location: Springfield, New Jersey, United States of America
- Hours: 20 hours per week
Compensation & Growth Opportunities 💰
Salary range: $23.75 - $31.00 USD. TD is committed to fair and equitable pay, offering growth opportunities and skills development. Job Description 🤝
The Banking Associate plays a vital role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location! You will be responsible for accurately handling daily banking transactions, offering advice, and educational support to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope 🛠️
- Process customer transactions, open new accounts, and educate customers on banking products and services.
- Build trust through educational content, consultative support, and proactive recommendations.
- Engage with Customers using TD's systems to deepen relationships and provide guidance.
- Identify customer financial needs and promote relevant products and services.
- Complete banking transactions on the teller line or platform, assisting with account management and service issues.
- Provide financial advice, support lead management activities, and set or host appointments.
Education & Experience 🎓
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, demonstrated through volunteering, education, military service, etc. (preferred).
- Customer service skills preferred; teller experience a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Completion of Teller training and platform training upon hire.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred.
Customer Accountabilities 🎯
- Deliver legendary customer service, promote TD products, and build relationships.
- Manage customer wait times and schedule appointments effectively.
- Serve as first point of contact, assist with customer inquiries, and support the customer experience.
- Support the Bank’s customer service strategy and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Complete required training, adhere to risk and control programs, and maintain proper records.
Shareholder & Operational Accountabilities 📊
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
- Process account transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and account servicing requests with integrity and security.
- Follow policies on customer authentication, open/close procedures, and dual control protocols.
