📝 Job Description

As an Accounting Consultant, you will leverage your expertise to ensure precise financial reporting, compliance, and client support. 🌟 Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 💻
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 📊
• Maintain the general ledger and process Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📨
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned 🔍
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 🧾
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🇯🇵
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🤝
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

🎯 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 💼
• Valid CPA license or working toward obtaining it through applicable state CPA exam 📜
• Willingness and ability to travel to assigned client locations ✈️
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📖
• Strong Japanese proficiency, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Japanese clients and colleagues 🇯🇵

💰 Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $40.86 to $47.12, with eligibility for overtime pay at time-and-a-half of the hourly rate. 🔥
