Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔍
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP) 📋
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 🧾
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned ✔️
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business licenses, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 💼
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🌏
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🕵️‍♀️
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 📅
• Current and valid CPA license, or actively working toward it by passing the applicable state CPA exam 📝
• Willingness to travel to client locations ✈️
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📚
• Strong Japanese proficiency, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Japanese clients, expatriates, and colleagues 🗣️

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $40.86 to $47.12, eligible for overtime at time-and-a-half of the hourly rate ⏳.
