Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔍
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📁
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned ✅
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 📝
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🇯🇵
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🕵️‍♂️
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Current and valid CPA license, or actively working toward obtaining one 📜
• Ability to travel to client locations 🚗
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Auditing Standards, and PCAOB standards 📘
• Strong Japanese proficiency (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with Japanese clients, expatriates, and colleagues 🈳

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage ranges from $40.86 to $47.12, with eligibility for overtime at time-and-a-half of the hourly rate. 💵
