Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔧
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP) 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📁
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned 🔍
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business licenses, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 💼
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🌐
• Support internal and external audit engagements 📝
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 📅
• Possession of a current and valid CPA license, or working towards obtaining it 🎖️
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations 🚗
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📚
• Strong Japanese proficiency (written and verbal) for effective communication with Japanese clients, expats, and colleagues 🎌

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate ranges from $40.86 - $47.12, eligible for overtime at time and a half. 💰
