Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔍
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📁
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned ✅
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 💼
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🇯🇵
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🔎
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Current and valid CPA license or actively working towards obtaining it 📝
• Ability to travel to client locations ✈️
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. 🇺🇸
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAS and PCAOB standards 📚
• Proficiency in Japanese language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Japanese clients and colleagues 🇯🇵

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $40.86 to $47.12, with eligibility for overtime at time and a half. 💵
