🔍 About the Role

As an Accounting Consultant, you will be instrumental in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting audit and reporting processes. This role offers opportunities for growth, collaboration with international clients, and involvement in a dynamic professional environment.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 💻
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔧
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/accounts payable 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📊
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned 🔍
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 🧾
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🌐
• Support internal and external audit engagements 📝
• Potentially supervise staff accountants and assist with planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Current and valid CPA license or actively working toward certification 📜
• Willingness to travel to client locations ✈️
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📚
• Strong Japanese language skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with Japanese clients, expatriates, and colleagues 🇯🇵

💰 Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $40.86 - $47.12 per hour, eligible for overtime at time and a half.
