🔍 Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 📅
• Maintain general ledger and process accounts receivable/payables (AR/AP) 💼
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📑
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned ✅
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 💰
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🔒
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🔍
• May supervise staff accountants and assist in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

📝 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 🎓
• At least 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Hold a current and valid CPA license, or working towards licensing by passing the applicable state CPA exam 📜
• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations 🚗
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 📖
• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards ✅
• Strong Japanese proficiency, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Japanese clients, including expatriates and local employees 🗣️

💼 Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate ranges from $40.86 to $47.12, with eligibility for overtime at time and a half of the hourly rate.
