Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 💼
• Maintain the general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable 🌐
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 📁
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned ✅
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business license, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 📝
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🇯🇵
• Support internal and external audit engagements 🕵️‍♂️
• Supervise staff accountants and assist in planning/scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Current and valid CPA license or actively working toward obtaining one 📜
• Ability to travel to client locations 🚗
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📚
• Strong Japanese proficiency, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues 🇯🇵

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage of $40.86 - $47.12, with eligibility for overtime at time-and-a-half. 💰
