Responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare trial balances, and generate financial statements using accounting software 📊
• Reconcile accounts and perform schedule computations (e.g., accruals, depreciation) 🔍
• Maintain the general ledger and process accounts receivable/payable 🧾
• Prepare group consolidation packages and coordinate with tax return preparers 💼
• Perform audit and review procedures as assigned 🕵️‍♂️
• Prepare payroll, sales tax, business licenses, personal property tax, and 1099 filings 🧾
• Assist with SOX/JSOX compliance and reporting to Japanese headquarters 🇯🇵
• Support internal and external audit engagements 📋
• Supervise staff accountants and help in planning and scheduling engagements 👥
• Ensure timely entry of time and expenses to support billing processes ⏱️

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field 🎓
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting 🏢
• Current and valid CPA license, or actively working toward obtaining it ✅
• Willingness to travel to client locations 🌎
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards 📚
• Strong Japanese proficiency, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with Japanese clients, expatriates, and colleagues 🇯🇵

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers an hourly rate ranging from $40.86 to $47.12, with overtime pay at one and a half times the hourly rate. 💰
