Position Overview
We are seeking a talented, dedicated Associate Quality Control Technician to join our Media Experience Department on a part-time basis. In this role, you will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, monitoring in-process productions, and documenting results. Excellent communication, leadership skills, and keen attention to detail are essential. Our fast-paced environment requires someone who is comfortable working in Mac OS X and has a background in video quality control. 🚀

- Understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems
- Ability to work a minimum of 28 hours per week

Preferred Skills 🌟
- B.A. degree or equivalent
- Fluency in additional languages such as Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Hebrew, Hindi, Malay, or Indonesian
- Experience encoding video for web platforms
- Knowledge of various video codecs, particularly H.264
Job Responsibilities ⚙️
- Review and analyze video and audio files for visual and auditory defects (e.g., pixelation, audio sync issues, color correction errors) 🎥🔊
- Verify the accuracy of subtitles
- Log and document quality issues, generate QC reports, and flag critical errors for immediate resolution
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly pay rate for this position in New York City ranges from $24.57 to $32.88. Actual offers depend on geographic location, skills, experience, and other factors.
