About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. Learn more about joining our team at wellsfargojobs.com.

Your Key Responsibilities 🤝

  • Build relationships with customers through proactive outreach and delivering exceptional service.
  • Assist customers with account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
  • Follow directions from managers while exercising judgement within established policies and procedures.
  • Develop understanding of bank products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Engage with customers to show care and foster long-term relationships.
  • Recommend suitable bank products and services.
  • Refer customers to other bankers and partners for additional financial needs.
  • This SAFE position involves customer contact and may include offering/negotiating terms and handling dwelling secured transactions, complying with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including background checks. Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) also apply.

Required Skills & Qualifications ✨

  • At least 6 months of customer interaction experience, demonstrated through work, education, military service, or training.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (speaking and listening).

Preferred Skills & Experience 🌟

  • Customer service experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Proactive engagement with customers via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate customers about mobile banking and technology.
  • Experience building strong customer relationships and collaborating with team members.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to identify fraud or risky accounts and act accordingly.
  • Professional integrity and excellent communication skills.
  • Military background related to personnel management, transitions, or leadership.
  • Proficiency in sourcing, developing, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Support in resolving concerns and escalating issues as needed.

Job Expectations & Details 📅

  • Flexible schedule that may include working most Saturdays.
  • Successful completion of required language assessments.
  • Cash handling, balancing, and completing service tasks.
  • This position requires SAFE registration at start. Wells Fargo will facilitate the registration process via the NMLS website.
  • Loan Originator (LO) qualifications under Regulation Z apply.
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
