Role Overview 📝
The Assistant Outlet Manager supports the Outlet Manager with overseeing restaurant operations, adhering to Hilton policies and procedures, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
What Will I Be Doing? 🎯
- Customer Service: Maintain a high customer focus, addressing guests’ needs promptly and effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Take initiative to resolve issues, communicating clearly with guests and colleagues.
- Operational Enhancement: Suggest improvements to procedures and promote Hilton’s services.
- Safety & Environment: Ensure all duties promote safety for yourself and others.
- Creating a Memorable Experience: Foster a positive environment focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Feedback & Improvement: Seek and act on customer and team feedback to enhance service quality.
- Handling Requests: Respond promptly to customer requests and assist during peak times.
- Proactive Guest Assistance: Anticipate guest needs and train team members accordingly.
- Standards & Training: Maintain and enforce departmental standards and conduct regular training.
- Team Scheduling: Prepare rosters aligning with business needs and external factors.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with Front Office, Groups & Tours, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams.
- Shift & Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, briefings, and handovers.
- Communication & Goals: Keep the team informed and aligned with hotel and departmental objectives.
- Sales & Marketing: Identify sales leads, assist with event promotions, and promote the outlet’s offerings.
- Cost Control & Financial Analysis: Monitor budgets, explain variances, and manage departmental expenses.
- Staff Development: Assist in recruitment, training, coaching, and performance appraisals.
- Health & Safety: Uphold OH&S standards, promoting safe working practices.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other responsibilities as assigned, with management’s discretion.
What Are We Looking For? 🚀
- 2-4 years of managerial experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Computer literate
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
- Flexible in adapting to changing needs
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Customer-focused with excellent service standards
- Knowledge of F&B operations, cost control, and merchandising
- Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in people management, communication, and planning
- Aspiring to grow into an Outlet Manager role
- Outgoing personality and willingness to work long hours
