Role Overview
As an Assistant Eyeglass Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing personnel and inventory, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience—all while fostering a positive team environment and building customer loyalty. 🤝
What Would You Do? - The Specifics
- Monitor and achieve: profit, sales, and performance goals (e.g., reviewing the P&L)
- Oversee the eyeglass department: optimize efficiency and ensure policy compliance
- Deliver exceptional customer service: lead by example and motivate associates
- Maintain quality standards: review remakes and enforce policies for compliance
- Communicate effectively: liaise with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide necessary store reports
- Manage promotions and merchandising: ensure visibility and awareness among staff and providers
- Supervise team members: motivate opticians and sales associates to excel and complete daily tasks efficiently
- Assist in staffing: forecast needs, recruit, select, and retain top talent
- Drive performance: motivate staff to exceed standards and achieve goals
Qualifications — Are You the Right Fit?
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Experience in optical sales; supervising experience is preferred
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships
- Strong understanding of store operations and success metrics
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Exceptional customer service Skills
- Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
- Excellent problem-solving skills of varying complexity
