La Maternelle French Academy is looking for a compassionate and attentive Assistant Caregiver to join our Infant Room team. This vital role supports the development and well-being of our youngest learners in a vibrant, culturally diverse, bilingual environment 🧸✨.

🍼 Infant Care Assistant Position Overview

As an Assistant Caregiver, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for infants aged 3 to 18 months. If you are passionate about early childhood development and enjoy working with young children, this is the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap schedules
• Support the Lead Caregiver in fostering a calm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all infants at all times
• Engage infants through age-appropriate activities, sensory play, and positive interactions
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to hygiene standards in the infant room
• Follow all licensing regulations, school policies, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with infants (preferred)
• Patience, gentleness, and attentiveness
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliability, responsibility, and punctuality
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check (required)
• Background check already completed is a strong plus
