What You'll Be Doing

This role involves performing skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation. Work is conducted and reviewed under direct supervision, following established policies and procedures. There is limited scope for exercising independent judgment, and most non-routine issues are referred to a supervisor. This description applies across all languages spoken within the Interpreter classification.

Essential Functions (Major Duties & Responsibilities)

• 🗣️ Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting.
• 🔑 Follows CyraCom's interpreter protocols as per training, policies, and procedures.
• 🔒 Ensures all confidentiality and interpreter ethics policies are adhered to.
• 🎓 Attends all required interpreter training sessions, including those conducted by the CyraCom Quality and Development Department.
• 📚 Continuously enhances vocabulary and specialized knowledge relevant to various domains such as medical, legal, and social services.
• 🔐 Maintains confidentiality in accordance with CyraCom Interpreter policies.
• 🖥️ Uses standard office equipment including telephones, computers, copiers, and fax machines.
• 🌐 Operates MS Office applications like Outlook, Word, and browsers such as Edge or others.

Qualifications

• 🔢 18 years of age or older.
• 🇺🇸 Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent.
• 🌐 Proficient in English and at least one additional language, as assessed by our Language Checkup.
