About the Role
Valet Living is hiring a field-based Area Leader to oversee nightly service operations. You will manage a team of 15 to 40 part-time Service Valets, ensuring our services run smoothly, safely, and on schedule across 20 to 40 communities. This position is ideal for someone with supervisory experience, problem-solving skills, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for maintaining operational excellence.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Pay Range: $25.50 - $28 per hour 💰
- Company Vehicle: Provided 🚗
- Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 12:30 AM, with two flexible hours to complete your 8-hour shift (schedule may vary) ⏰
- Work Environment: 70% field-based, 30% remote administrative 🏢🌳
Key Responsibilities
Lead Your Team
- Onboard and train Service Valets to deliver high-quality waste and recycling services.
- Conduct regular team meetings and safety checks to reinforce best practices.
- Manage schedules, approve timecards, and control team budgets.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Maintain Smooth Operations
- Step in proactively to ensure uninterrupted service — your leadership starts here!
- Visit properties to review service quality, perform audits, and resolve issues.
- Utilize tools like the iValet dashboard to track performance and ensure timely service.
- Address resident or property concerns swiftly and professionally.
- Ensure Valets have the necessary tools, equipment, and access.
Support Administrative & Daily Tasks
- Assist with hiring and training new Valets.
- Distribute supplies, PPE, and containers as needed.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to monitor staffing and manage costs.
- Support special projects or service recovery efforts.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year leading a team or crew in a hands-on environment (preferred).
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Skilled in scheduling, tracking services, and follow-ups.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and eager to learn new platforms.
- Data-Driven: Analytical with the ability to interpret reports and make informed decisions.
- Strong Communicator: Clear in verbal and written communication.
- Problem Solver: Adaptable and solution-oriented.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Driver’s License: Valid and able to operate a company vehicle.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely.
- Walk long distances, including stairs, outdoors in various weather conditions.
