• Location: Work From Home
• Availability: Must be available during the students' instructional day
• Note: No after-school or weekend classes required

Position Details 📋

• Title: Teacher - Foreign Language Secondary
• Terms of Employment: 10 Months
• FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary 🎯

The teacher will implement curriculum based on the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements and course syllabi into weekly instruction. They will foster an educational atmosphere conducive to effective student learning and report directly to the Manager of Teacher Effectiveness. Selected candidates will be placed into an active teacher pool.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 📝

• Administer district curriculum aligned with NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements
• Conduct classes in the foreign language of instruction
• Create and sustain a positive, academically focused learning environment
• Develop and deliver effective lessons based on instructional components
• Analyze student progress and tailor instruction accordingly
• Foster a classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions
• Ensure supportive learning opportunities for all students
• Participate in additional job-related activities as assigned

• Continuously improve professional skills
• Communicate effectively in writing and speech
• Demonstrate foreign language proficiency at ACTFL's Advanced-Low level

Requirements & Qualifications 📚

Education & Training

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution

Licenses & Certifications 🔖

• Valid teaching license issued by a state department of education
• Foreign language endorsement matching the assignment

Technology Requirements 💻

• Internet: Consumer-grade WiFi or Wired connection
• Internet Speed: 15 MBPS Download / 5 MBPS Upload (Check via speedtest.net)
• Computer: Processor: 1.5 GHz or higher, RAM: 4GB or higher, Compatible OS (Windows 7/8/8.1/10 or Mac 2014+), No Chromebooks
• Monitors: Laptop Screen + External Monitor or Desktop monitor + external monitor
• Camera: Webcam or HD webcam
• Audio: Built-in, USB, or Bluetooth microphone/headset/speakers combo
