About the Position

As an Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) / Video Remote Interpreter (VRI) at Future Group Translation and Localization Services, you'll facilitate accurate communication between non-English and English speakers across various fields. Your role ensures transparency and professionalism during calls, providing essential language support and fostering understanding.

Responsibilities 🤝

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.
• Prepare to take notes during calls for accuracy.
• Familiarize yourself with industry-specific vocabulary, especially in healthcare and medical fields.
• Render messages accurately and completely, without adding or omitting information.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpreting sessions.
• Facilitate communication effectively between Limited English Proficient clients and service providers.
• Engage in internal professional training and pursue new certifications.
• Report and communicate regularly with your team leader.
• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

• Fluent in English and native in Arabic.
• At least 1+ years of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable company.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus.
• Possession of healthcare-related international certifications (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA) is advantageous.
• High school diploma in your native language.
• High emotional intelligence with tolerance for diverse cultures.
• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory skills.

Technical Requirements 💻

This position is fully remote, requiring suitable equipment and internet connectivity:

• Internet: Dedicated high-speed, secure private connection (minimum 10 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload). Wired Ethernet connection only (Wi-Fi not permitted).
• System: Windows 10 or higher, dual-core 2 GHz processor (e.g., Intel Core i5 or better), at least 8 GB RAM.
• Equipment: Single device (computer or laptop) capable of running required systems; no external devices like phones or tablets unless specified. External monitors and connectors are optional.
• Performance Mode: Set to “High Performance” mode, with power adapter plugged in.
• Compatible Devices: Chromebooks and MacBooks are acceptable.
• Headphones: Use noise-canceling, wired headset with a built-in microphone. Wireless/Bluetooth headsets are not allowed.
