We are seeking a dedicated educator to instruct students in Arabic Language & Culture, fostering their growth and success in an ever-changing world.

Position Details

Job Summary

  1. Curriculum Planning: Develop and deliver lessons aligned with District and state standards.
  2. Lesson Development: Create and refine lesson plans and objectives to meet District expectations.
  3. Instructional Adaptation: Enrich or modify lessons, materials, and resources to accommodate individual student needs and varied progress levels.
  4. Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Conduct assessments, administer standardized tests, interpret data, and adapt instruction accordingly.
  5. Record Keeping & Intervention: Track student progress, maintain records, and develop strategies to support student growth.
  6. Parent & Student Communication: Provide updates on progress through verbal and written communication.
  7. Collaboration: Work with colleagues and support staff to plan and integrate cross-curricular lessons.
  8. Support & Feedback: Assign tasks to student teachers or volunteers, evaluate their work, and offer constructive feedback.
  9. Classroom Management: Establish clear expectations and foster a positive, respectful learning environment using positive behavior interventions.
  10. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with staff to enhance and adapt curriculum in alignment with school and district goals.
  11. Safe & Supportive Environment: Create a safe atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and physical development, acting as a role model for students.
  12. Policy Enforcement: Uphold school policies, philosophies, and objectives with students and parents.
  13. Professional Growth: Engage in staff development, school improvement activities, and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.
  14. Community Engagement: Participate in events outside regular hours, such as orientation, open houses, and conferences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in:

  • World Language - Arabic (Grades 9-12)

Additional endorsements are preferred and will be considered an asset.
