Position Summary

AGI is currently hiring an Arabic Language Instructor specializing in MSA, Levantine, and Egyptian dialects to support a government project. *This contract is pending award. If you are passionate about language instruction and cultural education, we want to hear from you! 🗣️🌎

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach adult professional students by utilizing current strategies tailored to individual differences (age, gender, education, motivation, etc.).
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments across proficiency levels from ILR 0 to ILR 3+.
• Adapt authentic or traditional language materials, aligning with Interagency Language Roundtable descriptors to meet student needs.
• Integrate audio, video, and multimedia tools into the classroom for engaging learning experiences.
• Educate students on cultural, technical, and military concepts, vocabulary, and terminology aligned with lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience teaching a foreign language.
• Bachelor’s degree in language instruction or related social sciences (e.g., History, Political Science, International Relations, Anthropology, Archeology, Cultural Geography).
• Experience in Instructional Design or certification in Instructional Systems Development (ISD).
• Extensive regional expertise and knowledge of foreign language teaching methodologies.
• Strong understanding of learning theories, educational psychology, and curriculum development.
• Proficiency with web-based, interactive course delivery systems.
• Expertise in instructor facilitation and faculty development.
• Competency in multimedia design and delivery methods, including video instruction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Adobe Acrobat, and other productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching foreign languages to military personnel.

Work Environment and Compensation

Standard schedule is 9-5 or as required by the client. Pay levels are determined based on education, experience, location, and market data. 💼💰
