We are seeking experienced Arabic-English interpreters to become part of our dynamic, international company dedicated to community support and professional growth.

About the Role

The Interpreter will facilitate communication for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals across diverse settings including medical, legal, educational, and social services. Your role is vital in ensuring LEP clients access full services, advocate for cultural sensitivity, and provide support with professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Details

• Job Type: On-site (in person)
• Locations: Bronx, NY & Westchester County (Mount Vernon & New Rochelle)
• Schedule: Usually during regular business hours (8 AM - 6 PM), with some Saturdays. Appointments depend on client needs.
• Rate: Based on experience and certifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Work Experience: 1+ years interpreting experience or a successful internship. Experience in medical, customer service, legal, or educational settings is a plus.
• Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; additional certifications such as CMI, CHI, CCHI, or completing a 40-hour interpreting course are advantageous.
• Language Fluency: Fluency in spoken and written English and the target language is essential, with a preference for native-level fluency. Professional interpreting skills and the ability to perform short translations are required.
