$57.76 - $80.86 — The hourly pay rate is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights 🌟

  • Position: Nurse Practitioner - Evanston Township High School
  • Location: 1600 Dodge Ave, Evanston, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Hours: Mon/Wed/Thu between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (occasional flexibility for after-school events, emergencies, or school-related health activities)
  • Required Travel: N/A

About the ETHS Health Center 🏥

The ETHS Health Center staff—including physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers—provide primary care and psychosocial services to District 202 students with parental consent. The mission is to empower students to take ownership of their health care and promote lifelong physical and mental well-being.

District 65 students ages 5-13 may access clinic services exclusively for school physicals and immunizations.

What You Will Need 📝

  • License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APRN) in Illinois; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License
  • Certification: Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Education: Master's degree in the specialty area
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with pediatric, primary, or school-based health care preferred
  • Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Key Responsibilities 🎯

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments
  • Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury across individuals, families, and communities
  • Work autonomously and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as a resource and consultant
  • Contribute to safety outcomes and ensure high-quality patient experiences
  • Provide physical exams, manage acute and chronic illnesses, offer reproductive health services, and refer for mental health or specialty care
  • Engage with students, parents, and school staff regularly, with the ability to lift and move medical supplies as needed
