About The Role

• Type: Hourly Contract

• Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous

What You'll Do

• 🔍 Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and pedagogically sound Japanese
• Provide structured feedback that directly enhances AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts 🤝

Who You Are

• 🗣️ Native or near-native fluency in Japanese
• Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language
• Strong written communication skills in both Japanese and English (C1/C2)
• Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
