Position: AI Evaluation & Annotation Specialist (Entry-Mid Level) - Japanese (USA)

We're seeking dedicated AI Evaluation & Annotation Specialists to assist in training and refining Large Language Models (LLMs). In this hands-on role, you will review AI responses, provide corrections, evaluate quality, and adhere to structured guidelines to ensure high standards of accuracy and consistency.

What You'll Do ✅
- Review AI-generated responses, assessing clarity, correctness, and relevance
- Annotate and label content following project-specific guidelines
- Implement detailed instructions consistently
- Generate or evaluate prompts based on assignment requirements
- Collaborate with QA Leads to incorporate feedback and enhance task quality
- Report completed work daily, maintaining productivity and quality standards

Schedule & Work Expectations 🕒
This role aligns with specific QA and project schedules. Availability during one of the following time windows depending on your language team is required:
- Language Shift Window (IST): 06:30–15:30 IST or 19:30–03:30 IST
- Standard expectation: One full 8-hour shift
- Alternative option: Two 4-hour shifts (both must be within scheduled hours)
Only logged, approved hours are compensated. Please note that this role does not include paid holidays or paid time off.

Compensation Range 💵
Rates vary based on language and experience level (L1/L2). The current approved ranges are:
$12.00 USD to $16.00 USD per hour
Requirements ✅
Applicants must complete a short, unpaid skills assessment as part of the selection process. This assessment verifies eligibility and project standards. Completion of the assessment does not guarantee selection, but it is mandatory to be considered.
Assessment & Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Experience or interest in AI, Machine Learning, or data annotation (preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle complex data
- Knowledge of translation and localization processes (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with AI and data annotation tools; willingness to learn new technologies
