Current Vacancies: Immediate Hire

  • Position: After School Program Site Coordinator (2 positions)
  • Hours: 8 hours/day, 12 months
  • Validity: This eligibility list will be valid for one year and will be used to fill future vacancies during this period.

Position Overview 🎯

The After School Program Site Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs within designated school areas, including Academic, Artistic, Sports, Character & Leadership, Career & Education Development, and Health & Life Skills.
  • Planning, developing, and managing day-to-day operations of after school activities and enrichment programs.
  • Coordinating program activities related to the school day and performing additional duties within the assigned area.

Essential Functions 🛠️

  • Respond to inquiries from school personnel, parents, and community members, providing pertinent information and assistance.
  • Communicate with district departments regarding budgeting, purchase orders, and program needs, recommending expenditures to support activities.
  • Participate in meetings, staff training, workshops, and seminars to develop and implement site enrichment programs.
  • Identify, secure, and order program resources, including equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of program materials and supplies to support instruction and activities.
  • Manage enrollment and attendance records, contacting parents and preparing reports as needed.
  • Organize and coordinate enrichment activities beyond regular classroom hours to promote youth development, community resilience, and safety.
  • Plan and lead the operation of the site-based after school program aimed at increasing student academic achievement.
  • Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate program success.
  • Lead student activities, coordinate enrichment and homework support, and promote student achievement.
  • Serve as a liaison among community agencies, staff, and administrators, fostering effective communication and community relations.

Other Functions 🔄

  • Bilingual roles: Utilize bilingual skills in communication, translation, and interpretation to support diverse community needs.
  • Perform additional duties within the job classification to support team operations and ensure efficient functioning.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

Candidates should possess:

  • Education: An Associate degree with a focus on education or related fields.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of responsible experience working with school-aged children, families, and communities. Leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Must meet ESSA requirements, including:
    • Completion of at least two (2) years of higher education, OR
    • Possession of an associate's degree or higher, OR
    • Passing a formal assessment demonstrating knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Selection Process & Certification 📝

This is a Dual Certification recruitment. Candidates passing all examination parts will be ranked on an eligibility list with promotional credits. Exams are open to both permanent employees and the public.
